Business Development Analyst (Job Number: 2120894 )

Position Summary:

The Business Development Analyst will provide analytical support to the business development activities of the organization, primarily mergers and acquisitions. The Analyst will perform critical financial analysis to support the purchase price of the companies potentially to be acquired including but not limited to profitability, strategic value and consolidation opportunities. The Business Development Analyst will also evaluate potential acquisitions using traditional valuation methodologies and measurements.

Major Responsibilities:

• Financial analysis of potential acquisitions, to include but not limited to, determination of a range of purchase price, evaluation of potential synergies, supporting analysis, and preparation of summary overview materials for senior management
• Competitive reviews, comparisons, and identification of trends which may generate acquisition interest. Continuous monitoring of competitor activity to identify acquisition opportunities
• Assist in integration of an acquired company’s activity
• Market analysis and strategic reviews to identify strategic acquisitions
• Report to senior management on merger and acquisition activity
• Other analytical reviews as requested

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Management preferred
• Master's Degree preferred
• 1-2 years' financial analysis experience required
• 1-2 years' experience in M&A activity preferred
• Must have intermediate level of knowledge in finance and management principles
• Must have intermediate level of experience with project management
• Must have critical thinking skills
• Ability to summarize information
• Ability to maintain multiple work streams
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
