The Business Coordinator provides key administrative support to Legal Counsel staff and Executives, while also actively contributing as a member of the CNN Business Administration team.

The Daily
Provide a full range of administrative support to Legal Counsel staff and multiple executives including, though not limited to: Paralegal and Rights & Clearances team

Client Support
Serve as a multi-subject matter expert for client questions. Handle calendars, travel arrangements, and expenses for senior level employees. Schedule department meetings and conference room requests, coordinating with various departments to procure all necessary components. Work discreetly with senior leaders and outside visitors/guests. Procure and maintain records of laptop computers and mobile equipment and testing devices for client groups. Communicate with Facilities, Security and IT to resolve staff concerns and requests.

Expense Management
Assist clients in establishing Concur and AmEx accounts, provide first-level approval review and allocations for expense reports, and serve as a subject matter expert on expense training and company travel policies. Submit expense reports for executives. Responsible for processing and coding vendor payments in Ariba and obtaining necessary approvals. Work with vendor maintenance team on supplier profile updates. Field questions from vendors and clients regarding payment status.

Staff Onboarding
Procure equipment, schedule training classes, provide introduction to department policies, and train new employees on system applications and procedures. Work with hiring managers on required systems access. Prep workstations for new hires. Obtain proper approvals and process onboarding for temporary employees and contractors. Assist with offboarding staff.

This position will serve as a backup to other BA team members, supporting clients and executives during vacation coverage.

The Essentials

  • Local to the ATL area [note: this role will be starting virtual, but turning to a hybrid model when in-person attendance is allowed]

  • College degree preferred, or equivalent experience & training

  • 5 years of strong business operations and administrative experience

  • Proficiency in both iOS and Microsoft Office programs

  • Well-versed in technology

  • Experience in digital media, news, and/or entertainment industry preferred

  • Experience supporting executives preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a broad range of employees

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent client service and time management skills

  • Team player mentality
