Contractor: Business Consultant
Compensation: Commission Only (See below for details)

Requirements

  • Strong communication, project management, and time-management skills
  • Professional service experience (law firm, medical practice, etc.) and/or management consulting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite applications
  • Strong people skills, punctuated by living out the CSR values of caring, openness, versatility, and tenacity in client and internal relationships
  • A high degree of professionalism and responsiveness
  • Reliable transportation and availability to commute to client meetings

Responsibilities

  • Develop client management, business, and networking skills closely with CSR Principal
  • Work closely with client firms to grow their businesses and help them achieve their personal and professional dreams
  • Skillfully manage client relationships in order to ensure existing clients are retained;
  • Advise and consult with clients on strategy, operations, finance, HR, and other areas of business
  • Collaborate with a member of the Analyst team to create project plans for client objectives
  • Standardize and streamline client business functions
  • Internally update and report out on current activities;
  • Prospect & network for potential consultants/employees of CSR;
  • Attend periodic 1x1 meetings with Principal.

Because of the critical nature of engagements, it is expected that the consultant will be timely with regard to the monitoring and answering of both client and intra-CSR communications (i.e., phone messages, calls, e-mails, texts, etc.). A sense of urgency is a vital component of the CSR service offering with a premium being placed on attention to detail that conveys CSR’s core values.

As appropriate and desired by the consultant:

Sales and Marketing

  • Targeting and researching new business prospects
  • Meeting/prospecting
  • Direct marketing
  • Build prospects/contacts through existing clients
  • Peer to peer networking
  • Develop/add to existing and maintain a prime prospect list
  • Regularly update CSR’s CRM program with client and prospect information, notes, future opportunities, etc.
  • Provide regular, updated sales reports via timely feeds into Capsule (or other customer relationship management (CRM) software used by CSR at such time)
  • Manage/maintain regular contact with companies on the prospect list
  • Create opportunities to pitch new accounts
  • Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects
  • Develop sales strategies for key prospects
  • Coordinate presentation/sales pitch approaches
