ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect, develop and manage banking relationships by forming in-person evaluation of the customer and assessing financial information and compatibility of banking needs within bank's policies and philosophies.
Negotiate credit items including overall terms, repayment methods, and collateral requirements.
Conduct regular annual reviews of commercial relationships in order to monitor credit quality and overall structuring. Prepare watch list for identified credits.
Prepare documentation and make presentations to the Senior Loan Committee where applicable, in accordance with Bank loan policy, then implement committee decisions regarding each loan request.
Monitor loan repayment activity on a regular basis and take necessary action to collect past due accounts. Collect technical exceptions, obtain financial statements and borrowing base if required.
Keep current on regulations and legislation affecting lending.
Proactively seek out and identify opportunities for cross-selling other Bank products and services, including, but not limited to depository and cash management.
Provide customers with routine platform services, such as arranging for letters of credit, treasury management services, wire transfers, night deposits, approving checks for cashing, and/or helping with other customer financial/banking needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
Four-year degree in business, economics or finance, or comparable combination of education, training, and work experience.
Required Work Experience:
4 or more years of lending experience.
Experience in commercial industrial, commercial real estate, and SBA lending preferred.
Portfolio management experience preferred.
Knowledge of banking deposit products and services.
Technology Skills:
Experience with computer operating systems (Windows). MS Office software experience preferred. Experience with bank or financial analysis software preferred.

Specialized Training/Certifications:
Graduate School of Banking and/or Commercial Lending School graduate preferred.
