Job Description

Verimatrix is seeking a talented and motivated Security product pricing professional to join our organization as Business Analyst, Pricing. In this key position reporting to the Manager Product Marketing, with a dotted line to our 3 Product Leaders, you will be an important pricing and monetization specialist within the company, responsible for having a comprehensive understanding of our global market, the competitive landscape in which we operate, the value of our products and the needs of our customers and partners; with a background in different pricing approaches, purchase data analysis and forecasting models to successfully influence the company’s product pricing strategy, update & maintain pricing in our systems (Salesforce and our SaaS Platform), and communicate how our pricing work to our sales staff in a easy-to-understand way.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Role includes the reporting and analysis of past and current sales trends such as ASPs, line-item volumes and other key metrics so that we can use pricing more intelligently to optimize revenue streams and minimize sales friction
  • For new product introductions and combos, undertake cost/price analysis, profitability analysis and develop pricing templates/models to evaluate different “what if” scenarios to ensure we can meet ROI targets. This could include predicting the effect of promotional campaigns that we might launch for periods of time
  • Meet with external research analysts to provide them with updates on Verimatrix products and gain pricing insights from experts on the markets we serve
  • Monitor and capture pricing of our key competitors across product families and regions to capture a global pricing perspective
  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of the pricing system(s) that supports our sales team and our partners
  • Educate sales about our pricing strategy, bundle pricing, discounting, competitor price positioning, creating & issuing correct price quotes, and other pricing-related activities that sales needs to know about to be successful selling our security solutions


WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with strategic pricing, Excel, PowerBI and CRM tools
  • Experience and familiarity of the pros and cons of different price/contract types (SaaS, subscription, perpetual, etc) including revenue recognition
  • You’re the type of person who strives to make a positive impact on product success; features, functionality, integration and value. You recognize that superior products equate to company success in the market.
  • You can draw conclusions and synthesize information from multiple sources, and you can make informed recommendations
  • You enjoy teamwork and work well with cross-functional teams
  • You have experience and proficiency in meeting and presenting to senior staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, success-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Experience in software security or with online platforms (preferred, not required)


TRAVEL

Up to 10% if required by the organization for business needs – overnight traveling within USA as well internationally if required.
