Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership is looking for an individual to work 40 hours per week as a Center Assistant/Bus Driver in Columbus NE. The bus is a smaller 20 passenger bus.

Individual selected for this position will start as soon as possible and work 40 hours a week through this summer and the 22/23 school year which runs August 1st through April 30. On May 1, 2023 they will begin having summers off that run May 1 to July 31 and then return back to driving the school bus for the following school year.

This individual will work in a classroom with children ages 3-5 assisting the teacher with daily activities, planning activities, cleaning, paperwork, and driving bus. Drivers have an in town bus route only and will be responsible to set up their bus schedules and get to their locations in a timely manner. A bus monitor will ride on the bus also and is responsible for boarding and off boarding children. Driver will also work cooperatively with other employees, clients and community members.

Starting wage will be $11.50-$12.25 per hour (dependent upon qualifications). Benefits available include health, dental, life, and vision insurance, an excellent PTO program, EAP, Cafeteria Section 125, a flexible working schedule and retirement.

Qualified individuals must possess: a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Nebraska Driver’s License; a CDL license or the ability to obtain one to drive a school bus (we will assist in helping to obtain and will pay for the CDL); and a working phone.
