Performs custodial and grounds keeping duties. Assists with minor repairs when directed by the site director or facility manager. Located at Camp Long in Aiken, SC. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:45% - Essential - Grounds keeping:
Maintains the cleanliness and order of the grounds by raking leaves, weed eating, and mowing the grass. Performs tasks such as trimming and watering flowers, shrubbery, and tress. Assists in landscaping the facility when directed.
20% - Essential - Custodial:
Maintains the cleanliness of the facility (offices, hallways, restrooms, stairways, etc.) by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Replenishes supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper as needed. Assists in the set up and breakdown for all functions held at the facility.
20% - Essential - Improvements:
Assists in any improvements or construction on the facility. Maintains inventory on all maintenance equipment and tools.
15% - Essential - Maintenance:
Performs minor repairs given by the site director or the facility manager. Conducts motorpool inspections. Oversees light bulbs, air filters, and oil changes. Performs routine maintenance on machinery such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, and other equipment used. Assists in the maintenance and repairs of all structures and new structures (cleaning, painting, electrical work, plumbing, etc.).
Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work that is directly related to the area of employment.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Education - High School or Equivalent - Preferred ability to use a mower or tractor and grounds keeping equipment
