1st Shift


Key Accountabilities

Assists the maintenance department in keeping up the facility and equipment by performing necessary repairs, and/or maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Gives priority to and executes on all verbal assignments from production management and maintenance management.
  • Completes written work orders as assigned.
  • Completes daily tasks from the Facilities checklist.
  • Inspects the water boiler daily and is responsible for checking chemical tank, releasing pressure and checking salt levels. Makes adjustments to boiler as needed.
  • Assists the mechanics as needed.
  • Request parts needed and follow up on them.
  • Communicate daily with the maintenance team regarding any issue.
  • Conducts daily facility walk-thru inspection, identifying and resolving issues immediately.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of maintenance shop and yard.
  • Performs maintenance detail work at Rialto warehouse as needed.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by any lead, supervisor, manager or other leader in the organization.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 YR exp. maintenance or equivalent, manufacturing environment preferred
  • GMP/HACCP Certificate (in-house), sit- down & stand-up forklift certified, boom/scissor lift certified

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can get loud.

This position requires employee to have adequate communicating and observational skills, including seeing, speaking and hearing, due to the operation of various types of moving equipment used in the bakery. These requirements are for the safety of the employee and co-workers. These requirements are also necessary for collecting and distributing information to staff, and communicating with co-workers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and color vision.
