Broadband CPE System Architect
Dish Technologies, in Englewood CO, has an opening for an experienced Broadband CPE System Architect who will be part of a team that will architect the next generation of Dish Network products that go into a consumer’s home. It’s an exciting time because Dish will be deploying a 5G network in the next several years that will include 5G, fixed wireless, satellite, and internet products with cutting edge technologies used for whole home audio/video entertainment solutions, internet services, 5G services and other connected devices. **Working location in Englewood, CO is required; relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities Include:
Part of a team that leads the effort defining and architecting a world class in-home eco-system for Dish Network’s next generation of products and systems that includes Dish Network’s new 5G and fixed wireless technology- Responsible for architecting and testing world class Broadband CPE platform
- Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed standard requirements for the CPE ecosystem
- Responsible for architecting user interfaces including an onboard web interface
- Responsible for developing analytical insights and dashboards relating to CPE performance
- Responsible for standard requirements for routers, AP’s, an other aspects of the ecosystem
- Will work directly with operations on tier 4 trouble isolation
- Will drive default setting decisions deep into the capabilities of the drivers
- Will participate in RFP’s as the subject matter expert for CPE
- Will participate in the Broadband Forum contributing to working groups on behalf of DISH Network
Experience developing ETH, GPON, DSL, or DOCIS broadband CPE- Experience implementing and/or maintaining Wi-Fi ecosystems
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant Technical field with 5+ years of system architecture and technical architect experience.
- Expert knowledge of in-home networking and consumer electronic devices.
- Experience with access architectures including FWA, GPON, NGPON2, DSL, Satellite, DOCIS
- Good working knowledge of the Broadband Forum
- Good working knowledge of embedded software and network protocols
- Ability to do quantitative analysis to specify and determine network performance
- Ability to block diagram and analyze technical architectural concepts
