OVERVIEW

JOB SUMMARY
As a team member of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will help build a positive working environment where employees bring the Center’s mission of serving as a gathering place for all in our community to life.
Under the general supervision of the Center’s Senior Manager of Creative Services, the Brand Storyteller is our lead wordsmith who understands how to craft messages that connect and inform our audiences in a way that drives meaningful action. Leads the team in editorial, advertising and promotional copy, sales and marketing, creative proposal writing, grant writing, strategic direction, and project management. Create compelling content that will be shared through many mediums. Encourages and engages in inter-departmental collaboration on the Center’s audience-centric approach to communications.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the primary/essential functions of the position and are not all-inclusive.
- Support all Center departments by leading messaging efforts across a wide range of deliverables, from concept to execution with written and verbal communications to achieve objectives including, but not limited to, articles, letters, presentations, emails, reports, press releases, advertising copy, social media messaging, fundraising and executive communications.
- Collaborate with creative services team to conceptualize various creative projects.
- Uphold and maintain the Center’s Brand Communications Guide and ensure brand consistency and writing standards are integrated through all communications.
- Develop and manage the Center’s content calendar including, but not limited to, the creation of all Center eNewsletters and blogs.
- Proofread and edit all Center communications and creative projects.
- Research and consult with the audience development team to develop creative and compelling copy and campaigns.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
The following are the secondary functions of the position and are not all-inclusive.
- Serve as the ambassador among the Center staff and volunteers to encourage understanding and appreciation of the various audience development campaigns.
- Attend various events at the Center and in the community as an advocate for the Center
- Work occasional nights and weekends.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in creative writing, journalism, or communications. Grant writing experience is preferred but not required.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt.
