Job Description
Overview:
The Brand Marketing Coordinator supports MSNBC’s Brand Marketing team in driving multi-platform growth of the MSNBC brand and show properties. They will report to the Director of Brand Marketing and work closely with members of the MSNBC Brand team, the NBC News & MSNBC Marketing department, and the broader MSNBC organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of topical promotion and cross-platform marketing campaigns for the MSNBC brand and shows, across all touchpoints
  • Be a voracious consumer of MSNBC content; actively identify content to leverage for promotional use
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of creative assets and talent photography; coordinate and distribute assets as needed to internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with internal Creative, Production and Media teams on asset creation and delivery
  • Maintain an understanding of marketing priorities and deliverables, including the status of active projects
  • Work with partner departments, including Digital, Social, PR, Sales, Programming, and Content Distribution, to ensure quality in communication of MSNBC and show brands
  • Strategize innovative, non-traditional ways to fuel multi-platform audience growth and brand affinity; focus on gaining and retaining younger consumers
  • Monitor multi-platform audience trends with a suite of measurement tools
  • Craft presentations and organize meetings across MSNBC and NBCUniversal as projects require

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years professional experience, ideally in the media
industry
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability
to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Readiness to work outside standard business hours
when necessary, including on weekends
