Summary
Responsible for increasing branch deposits, small business loan and consumer loan referrals. Responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of the branch. Ensures established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees provision of a full range of services to customers and prospective customers. Ensures customers are promptly and professionally served. Trains, directs, and supervises branch staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for increasing deposit account openings, small business loan and consumer loan referrals. Works towards achieving deposit goals while promoting High Performance Growth (HPG) initiatives
  • Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
  • Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries.
  • Ensures customers’ requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles customers’ complaints. Ensures customers are informed of Company services and policies. Counsels customers regarding their financial needs and services requested.
  • Ensures branch personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Actively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept abreast of all products and services. Primary Security Officer for the branch. Conducts required security meetings with staff to ensure compliance. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
  • Ensures assigned month-end management reports which apprise executive management of the status of branch activities are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for the security and oversight of the office building, maintenance, grounds, equipment and fixtures of the branch.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
About You:QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of five years banking experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Sales experience
  • Experience as a Branch Manager preferred
  • Local candidate with community involvement in surrounding areas preferred (Cottonwood, Verde Valley, Sedona)

  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with others in the Bank to perform effective reviews and to report the results.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries of complaints of customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Sufficient banking, organizational and technical skills to assist in performing all required reviews.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
