Shipping & Receiving is a high impact area where your prioritization, communication, research, and problem solving skills will be exercised.
Expectations:
- Assist with shipments, orders, and invoices—verifying all for accuracy.
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
- Use hand tools, power tools, online shipping services, or postage meters.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all departments in the store to be able to greet and provide support to customers and team members.
- Shelve, arrange, and categorize stock according to specific criteria that changes frequently.
- Clean the store and warehouse are to maintain a safe and efficient work floor.
- May provide periodic assistance with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
- Temporary positions require availability to work on a weekly basis for a period of 90 days or less with occasional weekends, and flexibility in scheduling for opening, midday, or closing shifts.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.
- Frequent lifting.
- Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment.
- Friendly personality, with strong communication skills to interact with a variety of people.
- Outstanding customer service skills to work with vendors, customers, and team members.
- Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
- Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.
