Job Description
Northwest Arkansas tax and accounting firm is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented bookkeeper with 3-5 years of experience in the combined areas of bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax reporting. Interaction with clients and other outside parties is expected. Good communication skills and a high level of professionalism is required. This is an opportunity for the right individual to work in a dynamic work environment serving high net worth clients in all aspects of accounting and tax compliance. Experience in public accounting is preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Complete general ledger maintenance
- Detailed analysis and preparation of financial statements
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
- Process payroll for multiple clients throughout several states by established deadlines.
- Process all payroll state and federal tax reporting, including year-end reporting to employees, state and federal agencies.
- Ability to schedule and complete reoccurring tasks.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Education, Experience, and Skills Preferred:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting preferred, but not required.
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously.
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to take the lead and completely own tasks on a reoccurring basis.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to keep matters strictly confidential.
- Team oriented and willing to help others while having a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
