Job Description

We are looking for a responsible bookkeeper to perform a variety of administrative and bookkeeping tasks. Responsible for maintaining the organization's key accounting records. Day-to-day activities include recording transactions such as income and outgoings, and posting them to various accounts. Being a broad and varied role must have a strong sense of time management and organizational skills, and exposure to many aspects of the accounting function. The Bookkeeper will be working closely with our Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Preparation of management report for CEO
  • Recording transactions such as income and outgoings, and posting them to various accounts
  • Processing payments
  • Conducting daily banking activities
  • Producing various financial reports
  • Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements.
  • Organize and schedule accounts AR and AP
  • Preparation of management information reports and participate in internal MIS meetings.
  • Distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms for billing
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Develop and maintain filing systems
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports

Skills
*

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software including Quickbooks
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

  • QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
