Position:
We are looking for a capable numbers-oriented person who has previous bookkeeping experience to provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department under the direction of the Finance Director.
About EMLRC:
We represent three separate non-profit organizations; The FL College of Emergency Physicians, the Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation, and the FL Association of EMS Medical Directors along with two Political Action Committees.
The mission of the Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation (FEMF), also known as the Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC) is to provide cutting-edge continuing education and training for the entire spectrum of emergency care professionals. The mission of the Florida College of Emergency Physicians exists to promote high-quality emergency medical care, to empower emergency physicians, and to protect the patients they serve. The mission of The Florida Association of EMS Medical Directors (FAEMSMD) is dedicated to promoting the practice of EMS medical direction in Florida and serves as a resource for local EMS medical directors and agencies.
Essential Functions:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Prepare and enter batches of invoices for payment
- Enter data, maintain records and assists with the creation of reports
- Enters credit card transactions and reconciles statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Maintain vendor files
- Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience and education
- Two years of accounting, bookkeeping, and/or administrative experience involving record-keeping
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, One Drive, Excel, Office 365, and Outlook
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have a professional and positive attitude
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding
- Knowledge of accounting systems preferred

Work Environment: Generally, works in an office environment with standard office equipment. We currently work in the office and occasionally from home when needed.
Job Type: Part-time, hourly position with the potential of a full-time position after a 90 - 120 day job evaluation by the Executive Director and Finance Director.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
