Job Description

Job Summary
Based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Red Door Escape Room is a rapidly expanding and evolving series of
escape room experiences. We are a fast-growing start-up in an exploding and exciting industry. Our
vision, work, service, and focus are centered around people. We are energetic and enthusiastic about
creating interactive experiences for our guests. We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our finance and
accounting team and take part in providing support for all RDER locations.


An ideal candidate is self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A willingness

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure smooth operation of all
    finance matters
  • Review all bills for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Perform month-end book closing duties
  • Prepare financial statements and other financial reports to summarize current and future
    company financial position
  • Assist in cash flow management and projections
  • Review and run bi-weekly payrolls, incentive bonuses, and commission schedules
  • Maintain 1099 documentation for vendors
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and securely, in accordance with RDER policy and
    generally accepted accounting practices
  • Assist in other administrative functions and perform special duties and projects as requested by the management team


Key Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional accounting experience
    • Experience in prior position in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts
      receivable, banking, payroll, and other administrative functions and the ability to
      understand how transaction-level entries tie to and impact the income statement and
      balance sheet.
  • Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Multi-location organization
  • Willingness to develop industry-related knowledge and adapt quickly to changing priorities


Direct Report: Sang Le
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
