Job Description

Chela's Mexican Beer Garden is a casual Mexican Bar & Kitchen, offering Craft Beer, Specialty Cocktails and Mexican inspired Street Food. Chela's is looking for motivated individuals to join our passionate teams. We are looking for leaders that excel in quality guest service with a can-do attitude and charming demeanor. Dishwasher responsibilities include but not limited to maintaining clean & safe work environment. Candidates should have solid BOH skills, a sense of urgency, and ability to work in fast paced environment.

  • Be Clean, work clean, wear clean clothes, and keep our facility clean.

  • Be positive, have fun & bring you positive attitude with you to every shift.

The Prep Cook will:

  • Execute menu items on the hot and cold line.
  • Volume Management.
  • Maintain a clean and consistent workstation, practice safe and ethical food handling procedures.
  • Open and close the kitchen on different shifts.
  • Deep cleaning regularly to ensure the health and of our kitchen and equipment.
  • Report to Kitchen Manager/Chef for all responsibilities, questions and concerns. If applicable, report to Shift Lead.

Skills necessary to the job function are as follows:

  • Food service execution.
  • Basic knife skills and recipe comprehension.
  • Memorization of line procedures and cookery.
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Understanding and compliance of with company policies.
  • Finding and assisting in money and time saving alternatives
  • Supporting and maintaining the Core Values of the business.

Competencies necessary to the job function are as follows:

  • Back of House experience preferred
  • Strong time-management

  • Teamwork with the Management, BOH and FOH Team.

Experience:

  • Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Hours per week:

  • 30-39
