    About the Job


This position is located in the agency’s Central Office – Central Issuance Department. The purpose of this position is to ensure timely validation of credential transactions prior to releasing, printing, and mailing in a safe and secure manner.

A Day in the Life:


  • Ensures efficient operational and technical processes for securely issuing credentials that are timely and accurate control of credential applications
  • Oversees credential document exception processing by providing documentation to exception committee members, tracking process to completion
  • Researches customer credential status and responds in a timely manner to various customer service and communications departments throughout the Bureau
  • Follow agency policies and operating procedures daily to ensure efficient daily production
  • Processes all returned mail, including logging the mail, researching customer information and re-mailing or distributing it within the established departmental guidelines within a 1 day TAT
  • Answers technical questions and traces requested information
  • Sorts and distributes or responds to and handles records, files, and other documents
  • Process mail correspondence daily which includes typing/printing letters and inserting comments
  • Ensure that all CVP applications are processed within a 1 day TAT
  • Oversee and track branch errors processes
  • Verify and Report Alien and I-94 Forms utilizing Department of Homeland Security’s Verification Information System Database
  • Notify and correspond with Applicants for additional information
  • Represents the agency in a positive and professional manner
  • Exhibits a courteous, respectful, and friendly demeanor
  • Complete work in a time and efficient manner
