This role is specifically to fill the expanded need for a Blue Yonder/JDA SCPO Supply Functional Architect. Eligible candidates must demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill within the software platform, its major/minor capabilities, and its critical upstream/downstream interaction points. Candidates must be able to convey their practitioner knowledge through experiences facilitating current state, capture day & life, (e.g. GEMBA walk), identifying relevant user stories, identifying necessary future state capabilities, and translating these into a comprehensive 5 Lens design for our customers.
To be a Supply Solution Architect, one must have mastery of multiple domains within End-to-End Supply Chain planning. We are seeking a Business Process Practitioner and Solution Architect whose primary domain is Supply Planning; specifically, Manufacturing and Finite Scheduling. A detailed knowledge of Enterprise Supply Planning (ESP) is required. Experience with Sequencing (SEQ) is a plus. Within ESP, knowledge of Deep Tree (Master Planning) is expected with experience using MAP and LPOpt solver engines beneficial. A well-rounded candidate will be able to explain not just how to configure the software, but why their choices and recommendations create a fluid workflow and how their feature/function selection supports optimal business process

Consultants must have a strong drive to acquire knowledge of processes, systems, and client’s business on a rapid timeline. They must be able to quickly formulate and validate future state business process and solution configuration designs, with emphasis in the Blue Yonder (JDA) SCPO applicate suite. Compiling high quality documentation and presentations on a short timeline, being comfortable facilitating discussions, and giving polished presentations is mandatory. A consultant within our practice should be comfortable in the front of a meeting room or classroom; be it facilitating or teaching two people or thirty people.
Spinnaker’s Consultants serve as a subject matter expert supporting the definition of often complex business processes and technology solution designs; across a variety of market/industry related disciplines. Consultants are expected to be well versed in supply chain related knowledge, be able to understand common business problems, and translate business input to advise clients on appropriate solutions to meet their planning objectives. Consultants will leverage Spinnaker’s 5 lenses methodology of People-Process-Technology-Policy-Metrics to deliver comprehensive solutions across the entire services portfolio. The Consultant must possess the necessary acumen to contribute to these engagements as duties are assigned within their particular area of focus.
The Consultant will be working with leading Retail, Distribution, and CPG companies in the USA and CAN; and potentially globally. This is a highly challenging, but very rewarding, career path for those with the right mindset and required skills.
Consulting activities include the following:
Performing current state assessment of existing supply chain planning system and business processes.
Performing fit/gap analysis to determine opportunities for business improvement.
Developing a blueprint and roadmap for future state supply chain design(s)
Defining scope of responsibility using RACIs and organizational design tools
Supporting the facilitation of organizational change management programs and processes
Leveraging technology approaches such as system development life cycle (SDLC) and AGILE to deploy robust multi-faceted planning solutions
Translating functional and technical business requirements into comprehensive business designs and documenting the output in well-developed business specifications
Testing related activities including test planning, test case and scenario definition, and execution for test phases that include unit, system, integrated systems, user acceptance, performance, and regression.
Supporting end user training development and delivery
Supporting system production deployment and production support activities
Comfort with airplanes, airports, and hotels on a weekly basis
Required Competencies:
Title will be determined based on the following:
Years of business process development support for Advance Planning Systems (APS) processes that include Forecasting, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Replenishment, Deployment, Network Optimization, Inventory Optimization, Procurement, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Forward and Reverse Logistics
Specific knowledge and use of the system development life cycle (SDLC) and other change management (OCM) related processes
Years of specific functional knowledge related to the user configuration of SCPO (Blue Yonder/JDA), I2, SAP or Oracle
Years of planning system implementation in one or more of the following solutions: SCPO (Blue Yonder/JDA), i2, Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis, OM Partners, O9, ToolsGroup SO99+
Certifications held (PMP, APICS, Six Sigma, ACPF, SCPO (Blue Yonder/JDA), SAP, or related)
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Consultant will find themselves frequently writing presentations, creating documents, and facilitating meetings
Work product is expected to be complete and polished
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to follow a DMAIC process – define, measure, analyze, improve, control
Ability to perform current state / future state fit-gap assessments
Ability to provide comprehensive recommendations in solution design, business process design, business policy setting, and business metric definition
Quantitative and analytical skills (financial analysis, mathematical modeling and statistics, etc.)
Ability to “dive into” the data to determine root-cause
Desired ability to understand statistical forecasting models
Desired ability to understand complex manufacturing arrangements such as run-time, line dependencies, multi-constraint environments, and rough-cut capacity planning
Presentation abilities (up to manager/director/VP client levels)
Consultant will find themselves regularly at the front of the room against audiences of all sizes facilitating, presenting, or teaching client resources
Self-initiating / Self-Motivated
Consultant must be able to operate within an environment where instruction and direction can sometimes be vague
Consultant must be able to support project activities and assist teammates in ensuring delivery and project success
Consultant should self-seek internal and external contributions to the practice and the project
Consultant must be able to prioritize multiple activities and deadlines within a semi-autonomous environment

Experience/Education:
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or similar fields.
PMP, APICS, Six Sigma, ACPF or similar industry Certifications are a plus
