48 hours per two week pay period; 7:00am-7:30pm, 7:00pm-7:30am, Every 3rd AM weekend, rotating holidays.
The Birth Center at CenterCare – Monticello supports moms with comprehensive, patient-centered, obstetric care. Our team of nurses, OB/GYNs, Family Medicine physicians, Midwives, Pediatricians, and Anesthesiologists work together to ensure new moms have the best birth experience possible.
Birth Center RNs enjoy getting to know patients throughout their stay and have a passion for supporting individualized birth plans and wishes. In addition to inpatient care, RNs provide lactation guidance and may help support Perinatology specialists in our clinic setting.
Joining the Birth Center team is a rewarding opportunity for RNs who are passionate about caring for new moms and are interested in working collaboratively to support moms throughout their childbirth journey.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse (RN) Current License within state of Minnesota.
- Labor and Delivery experience preferred and willing to train.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider card per established policy.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRT) Current NRP certification obtained prior to working independently with newborns or before completion of orientation to the unit.
- Lactation consultation certification preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Organizational, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
- Ability to document using Electronic Medical Records.
- Ability to assess and evaluate labor patterns.
- Ability to interpret Fetal Heart Rhythm.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Strong interpersonal human relations skills.
