Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Design Manager with a strong BIM background to support implementation of building design templates and standards for various Operations Network building design programs. The role will be a telecommuter position; however, it is based in Seattle WA and the candidate must work on Pacific Standard Time. Occasional travel may be required.

\_Job Description\_

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the team to design criteria and templates that govern the design of technologically advanced facilities. The right candidate will demonstrate a track record of successes in performing at a high level of productivity in an extremely fast paced environment. Responsibility for implementation of design standards includes coordination with: site plans, architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical and plumbing, low voltage, fire protection, signage, incorporation of storage and material handling equipment, and alignment with internal stakeholders.

\_Responsibilities: \_

+ Support a team that is creating new, efficient, and economical building designs for various business segment programs

+ Participate in workshops that drive alignment on key issues, design practices, new building designs, and initiatives with the focus of reducing the cost of construction and maintenance while enhancing associate experience and operational excellence

+ Collaborate and coordinate with a wide variety of internal operations, design, and engineering stakeholders to increase the efficiency of the programming and design process

+ Coordinate with third party architects, engineers, designers and internal stakeholders responsible for creating the building design programs and templates

+ Support technical design review of building design templates and site-specific designs to ensure adherence to design standards

+ Model excellence in collaboration and stakeholder alignment

+ Responsible for project and building design program support as required

Minimum Requirements

+ BA/BS plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Blubeam Revu, Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk BIM 36

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture

+ 5+ years of experience in architecture or relevant positions

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Project experience from design phase through construction administration
