Position Summary:

Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) a new service offered by PointClickCare. We are an extension of our client’s back office and manage their billing, collections, and other revenue cycle related activities. The Billing Specialist reports to the Service Delivery Leader and collaborates with our RCM Managers to ensure the successful onboarding of new customers. Using your deep billing expertise, you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and configure their PointClickCare system for RCM services. You will also complete an initial billing cycle then oversee their transition to our Central Business Office (CBO). During the transition you will help train the CBO staff on any new payors or customer specific requirements and ensure they have the knowledge necessary to conduct ongoing revenue cycle activities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Review the setup of a client’s PointClickCare Financial system and configure it for use of the RCM services.
  • Establish billing and collection workflows that adhere to customer, regulatory and payor requirements.
  • Conduct all billing related activities for the first full revenue cycle to certify that the setup is working as expected. Activities may include billing, cash posting, reconciliation, daily account management, etc.
  • Oversee the successful transition of new clients to our Central Business Office which will assume day-to-day responsibility for ongoing RCM activities.
  • Monitor the performance of the Central Business Office team during the post-transition period.
  • Assist with RCM activities and resolution of clients’ reimbursement issues as necessary
  • Elevate team knowledge by sharing learnings discovered through onboarding
  • Assist with training, and education of Central Business Office team in conjunction with the RCM Operations Manager
  • Collaborate with RCM Operations Manager and Principal Solution Leader to improve the quality and consistency of training and service delivery
  • Manage a high volume, wide range of tasks and work within committed deadlines
  • Effectively manage communication with clients and other stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:

  • Must have billing experience using PointClickCare
  • Post-secondary education, or equivalent experience in Skilled Nursing revenue cycle management
  • Subject matter expertise in the areas of Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid, Applied Income, and Managed Care reimbursement and regulations for Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Ability to establish productive customer relationships
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • A passion for teamwork, collaboration, and revenue cycle management
  • Excellent time management skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical billing concepts to a non-technical audience
