Billing-A/P Specialist

Alliance Shippers Inc., is one of North America’s largest privately owned providers of global logistics and transportation services. We are currently seeking an Billing/AP Specialist join our team at our office in Mechanicsburg, PA!

The Role:
The successful candidate will need to be well disciplined, organized, work independently, and able to multi-task. Main duty will be processing invoices for billing and accounts payable

• Review daily report for invoicing
• Review invoice for accuracy for both billing/payables
• Review requests for additional charges from carriers for billing/payment
• Enter invoices on various customer websites
• Request approval from customers for accessorial charges.
• Review spreadsheet against invoices and pay.

• Minimum 1 year of accounting
• Transportation experience preferred

• High school degree required

• Familiarity with AS400 is a plus
• Excellent computer skills, particular Excel
• Well organized to handle large amounts of documents efficiently
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task at all times
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
