Global Tools and Storage (GTS), a division at Mission, TX site, is looking for a Value Stream Manager for the Molding Department who will be responsible for driving continuous and significant improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Working capital within their value stream. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing all mold tooling from the introduction of new molds to completing repairs and improvements to molds in support of ongoing production. This will be achieved by developing a world class organization and methodically implementing the strategic objectives which consist of a combination of strategic planning, deployment, Lean Management/Manufacturing Techniques and Six Sigma tools. Directly interacts with all internal departments, Product Managers, Suppliers, Customers and other Stanley Black & Decker facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides the Leadership and Vision for the short- and long-term strategies of the Molding Value Stream.
- Provides machines & molds capacity planning oversight in order to meet the customer’s demands.
- Assumes overall accountability for the production costs and efficiency of the Molding Value Stream.
- Ensures that programs and procedures are adopted to guard against industrial accidents and protect the Safety and Well-being of all employees
- Maintains quality through all processes; reacts to quality issues and responds with sustainable corrective actions.
- Fully supports and complies with all ISO Quality, environmental systems, safety regulations and Stanley Fulfillment System (SFS) objectives and projects.
- Responsible for managing the Introduction of new tooling & machines within projects regardless of scale.
- Quotes tooling & machines, approves mold designs, sources molds through approved suppliers (domestically and internationally), and track mold builds.
- Manages a team of molding process Engineers in the writing and execution of OQ/PQ (Operational Qualification/Performance Qualification) processes validation protocols and reports.
- Works within the constraints of budget, schedules and scopes to manage risks and ensures adherence to established processes and methodologies through:
- Interaction with customers, suppliers, and internal resources.
- Demonstration of advanced knowledge in tooling design.
- Mentoring other Engineers.
- Defining and managing scope, time and cost for complex projects or programs.
- Identifying risks, taking responsibility for mitigation actions, and managing mitigation plans.
- Responsible for working with Engineering and Product Teams to ensure the manufacture of new product(s), machine’s specifications, plant capital requirements, project timelines, and production launch.
- Periodically present plans and actual results, as well as the deployment of strategies and KPI progress.
- Using Lean Manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma Methodologies develops process improvements and optimal use of manufacturing resources.
- Develops Standard operating procedures which direct the most efficient, cost effective and highest quality process
- Development of Continuing Improvement Projects related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Motivation.
- Continually benchmark best practices and implement as appropriate.
- Accountable for establishing and executing training programs for injection molding process technicians, Assemblers and Material Handlers.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Mechatronics), Experienced in scientific Injection Molding.
- 5+ years of prior supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment required.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
- Must have experience in tooling design, fabrication, development, testing, and validation.
- Understand design for manufacturability and have a track record of successfully implementing new tooling into production.
- Experience and understanding of injection molding and structured process development.
- Ability and passion to rapidly learn and utilize the business system and achieve objectives.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
- High level of attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping capability
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills in order to manage multiple responsibilities with little to no supervision.
- Experience with Project Management and implementation a must.
- Must have excellent team building and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to effectively deploy resources to key priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, and Windchill software.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
- Communicate to drive meaningful outcomes
