Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
Ability to provide exceptional guest service while delivering bikes and related products to villas, homes and outlets on Kiawah Island. Need to effectively train and manage seasonal employees. Ability to delegate daily tasks and responsibilities of delivery drivers and bike attendants. Coordination and distribution of 100-150 deliveries throughout a 13 mile Island in the most effective and efficient manner on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
To effectively and efficiently deliver bikes to guests on Kiawah Island. Exchange bike sizes for guests when needed. Pick-up bikes and related products from villas and homes. Work in all areas of the Bike Operation as needed. Maintain knowledge of the Recreation Department, Resort, The Sanctuary and the island. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Education and Experience
College degree is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to communicate in English to management, co-workers, and to the guests’ understanding. Ability to provide legible communication. Must have excellent verbal communication, written communication and organizational skills, plus proper phone etiquette. Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Ability to operate a loaded truck and trailer safely and efficiently.
Certifications Required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience Driving a Trailer Preferred
Essential Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 40+ pounds repetitively. Must be able to work outside in various extreme temperatures and conditions. Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
