Summary:
The BI Analyst, Global Supply Chain – Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) acts as an integral member of the Supply Chain organization. As a BI Analyst, this individual owns and is responsible for projects from Inception through Benefits Realization. As a data and reporting leader, this person drives transformational data and analytics initiatives for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Supply Chain business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interprets and analyzes data from multiple sources
- Provides key analytics and reports for senior leadership, with ability to story tell and assist departmental and business insights/decision making
- Provides project management in support of key business initiatives
- Supports in the development of processes and technical design
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in analytical or business intelligence position
Technical Competencies and Skills:
- Deep understanding of BI methodologies, Data Architecture principals, Master Data, and metadata.
- T-SQL expertise – Advance ability to design and troubleshoot complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, constraints, unions, joins, and similar development tasks
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot optimized ETL solutions that incorporate various back end SQL Server data sources
- Ability to interpret business logic and develop appropriate data flows and data dependencies
- Advanced skills in Power BI Development and DAX
- Microsoft Excel expertise (VBA a plus)
Qualifications:
- Passion for numbers and algorithms
- Strong data and BI analysis skills - detailed analysis and definitions of important metrics, measures, business logic and calculations, hierarchies and aggregations, source system analysis, and reporting requirements
- Experience in developing and deploying BI capability in Supply Chain is a plus
- Ability to travel 15-20% (estimated)
