Schedule Details: Hours could be: 8:00-4:30, 8:30-5:00 or 9:00-5:30. This position is also eligible to work remotely (from home) at least during the COVID pandemic and possibly longer.

The Behavioral Health Screening Specialist is responsible for managing incoming calls from new patients wanting to establish a relationship with a BH provider and assisting callers with these decisions. You will have knowledge of the ProHealth Care providers as well as other Behavioral Health resources in the community to assist with referrals. You will also register/schedule the patient for their first appointment.

Other Responsibilities Include:

• Registration/scheduling functions for new patients
• Keeping current with community, county, state, and federal resources related to patient behavioral health needs
• Developing positive relationships with community referral resources, i.e., employers, treatment agencies, physicians, etc.
• Conducting behavioral health screenings utilizing tools and resources using Brief, Intervention & Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) modeling

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field
• Previous experience in behavioral health
• Psychology or social work degree preferred, though willing to consider other healthcare or related human services degree
• SAC or CSAC (Substance Abuse Certifications) a plus
