Job Description
The team coordinator provides a clinical leadership role on the Behavioral Health Outpatient Team which specializes in providing evidence based, trauma informed, integrated services for individuals with substance abuse, mental health and co-occurring disorders.
This position provides supervision and oversight of treatment services provided to adults participating in the Mental Health Docket Program who are on supervised probation and meet criteria for serious mental illness. The Mental Health Docket team coordinator facilitates intra-agency and interagency coordination; working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to include law enforcement, court officials, staff, treatment providers, psychiatrists, family members and other community service providers. This position provides clinical supervision to outpatient clinicians to assure appropriate service delivery, as well as administrative oversight to assure compliance with agency policies and procedures. The team coordinator serves as a clinical lead and participates in interagency collaboration.
Successful candidates must possess specific education and training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders, as well as training in clinical supervision. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, facilitating groups, providing individual and family therapy, and maintaining all clinical records and documentation according to federal, state and agency policies and procedures.
Work schedule requires flexibility to include evening hours, Office locations include the Leesburg and Sterling sites, Weekly court appearances required.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience
Job Requirements- Master's degree in a field eligible for professional licensure as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP); or other licensure where permitted and two (2) years professional experience working with individuals who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis.
- Extensive experience working with adults with serious mental illness who have court involvement, experience supervising MSW supervisees or LPC residents towards licensure.
- Crisis intervention and crisis stabilization also preferred.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
