Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician (Therapist)
Reports To: Program Director/ Manager (or designee)

Summary: The Licensed/License Eligible Therapist will spend the majority of his/her time providing individual therapy to clients from residential to outpatient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Individual and group therapy
- Biopsychosocial assessments, utilization reviews, discharge summaries, treatment plan reviews, and other documentation for clients
- Case management as necessary for assigned clients
- Crisis and clinical support to programs as needed
- Individual and group therapy at both Pico and Conscious Recovery locations
- Biopsychosocial assessments, utilization reviews, discharge summaries, treatment plan reviews, and other documentation for clients
- Meet with insurance clients to conduct utilization reviews and document medical necessity
- Attend treatment team meetings and have treatment team notes ready for each client
- Conduct case conferences with team members as necessary
- Meet timeframes for documents, treatment plans, etc.
- Case Management
- Crisis and Clinical support to Programs as needed
- Assist programs with clinical and mental health needs as they arise
- Conduct crisis intervention sessions and assess for client stability; suicide and/or Tarasoff assessment may be needed
- Provide support to Clinical services as needed
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the client care landscape. The following are strongly desired:
- Licensed or license eligible by BBS as LMFT or LCSW or Licensed by BOP as Psychologist required
- Experience with mental status exams and diagnoses
- Responsive to feedback and a team player while also being able to work independently
- Potential on-call or evening hours
- Rate based on experience
Physical Demands:
