Job Qualifications:
- Patient, Caring, Playful, Responsible, Reliable and Fun
- Physically able to keep up with high energy preschool age children
- Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at the time of application
- Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and carry car insurance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
Job Description for Behavior Technician
- A Behavior Technician works one-on-one with individuals who are diagnosed with autism.
- A Behavior Technician is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or Licensed Behavior Analyst
- A Behavior Technician is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition plans and behavior-reduction plans developed by their supervisor
- A Behavior Technician must possess a Certified Behavior Technician with WA State Department of Health (ESST will provide the training)
Behavior Technician Responsibilities
- Works directly with the client providing ABA Treatment in sessions that last 2-3 hours
- Follows an individualized curriculum & treatment plan developed by the supervisor
- Takes daily session notes and collects data on progress during therapy sessions
- Drives personal vehicle to/from client homes and schools
- Works independently and accepts supervision from the supervisor for at least 5% of all treatment hours worked per month.
- Participates in staff training
- Maintains certifications and registrations and takes all required training
- Adheres to HIPAA Laws and maintains client confidentiality

- Training in HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens
- Training in Cultural Competency
- Practicum supervision for students employed by the agency to become a BCaBA or BCBA.
