Behavior Specialist develop the Behavior Support Plans for individuals with significant behavioral health needs in high-intensity residential settings. This role ensures that residential staff are knowledgeable about and are effective in implementing these behavior plans in order to provide an exceptional standard of care and support based on each person's specialized needs. This is a Monday – Friday position with some possible early morning and evening responsibilities.

Complete initial standardized and baseline assessment of functioning.
Development individual goals and objectives to be included in the Behavioral Support Plan.
Instruct Direct Support Staff on how to implement each of the goals and objectives in the Plan and proper techniques for data collection.
Schedule and facilitate training and observation sessions with staff as needed.
Graph and analyze data to help determine effectiveness the of the Behavior Support Plan and its implementation making recommendations for change
Develop and submit all data sheets to agency Consulting Psychologist and/or Clinical Director as directed.
Complete all progress reports as noted in the Plan.
Participate in Team meetings.
Communicate any educational, behavioral or family concerns to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
Implement and foster the principles of self-advocacy which promote an independent lifestyle and respect for program participants.
Instruct Safety Care classes
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education or related field
- Master Degree preferred
- ABA experience/certification strongly preferred
- Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges.
