Batching Technician

Job Duties

• Stage and prepare raw materials for efficient mixing operations
• Monitor the mixture of raw materials according to written formulas
• Ensure all products are manufactured safely by following Good Manufacturing Practices
• Partner with the QA/Lab to maintain the product specifications and ensure food quality
• Clean and disinfect mixing utensils, tools, buckets, and general work areas
• Accurately complete required production paperwork

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Six Months experience in food processing or sanitation
• Strong logical decision making skills
• Ability to keep up in a fast paced environment
• Language Skills and ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to write correspondence
• Math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office building, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
