The Bartender role at Fifth Group Restaurants is one of the key roles in front of house operations. The role involves significant responsibility, combining product knowledge, salesmanship, personality and charm to result in a joyful dining experience, and leading to the development of a regular clientele.
Being a Fifth Group Bartender requires accountability in the areas of cash handling, inventory control, organization, and facility cleanliness above and beyond many other hourly positions. It's the only role in the front of house that involves â??productionâ?? and requires the greatest level of attention to compliance. The bar is a focal point in Fifth Group Restaurants and accordingly bartenders must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining confidence, composure and a great eye for detail behind, as well as in front of, the bar.

Maintains thorough product knowledge, including all dining and bar menus, wine and spirits, in order to compare, contrast and ultimately recommend the most suitable items for guests.
Demonstrates personalized suggestive selling in all guest interactions.
Consistently executes the 14 Elements of Connected Service.
Achieves expert knowledge of restaurant concept and Fifth Group history and personnel.
Possesses the ability to work in Server, Support Server, and Greeter roles.
Financial and Legal: We are committed to profitability.
Knows and follows all applicable City, State and County liquor laws and food safety standards.
Immediately accounts for all product sold and guest payment transactions.
Responsible for assisting beverage manager in maintenance of inventory and bar supplies.
Operations: We demand quality.
Attains a thorough working knowledge of the P.O.S. register system and accurately communicates all orders to the Kitchen in a timely manner.
Encourages bar dining by resetting and preparing the bar area for new guests.
Stocks the bar to established pars both prior to, and at the completion of all shifts.
Completes all assigned sidework, opening/closing duties, duration duties, and weekly cleaning projects.
Stocks all bar deliveries while maintaining clean and organized storage areas.
Demonstrates superior technical skills in the following areas: execution of the sequence of service for a dining experience, consistent execution of established drink recipes, bar maintenance, speed and accuracy, consolidation of responsibilities.

Physical Requirements
- Constant standing and walking
- Occasional stooping, kneeling and crawling
- Occasional ascending or descending of ladders, stairs and/or ramps
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and rotation of the spine, elbows and wrists
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, i.e. case of wine, full ice buckets, etc
- Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words and in the process of communicating with guests and employees
- Constant use of POS/Computer systems
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
