Barista And Cashier

Babcock Ranch, the first solar town being developed in the United States in Punta Gorda, FL, is seeking an energetic Barista a to join our growing team. Come make people smile! At Cup a Joe, we are seeking friendly faces to help serve our customers decadent gourmet coffee drinks and delicious desserts.

This position requires 11 hour shifts to be worked on Friday Saturday and Sunday and one half day to be worked on Thursday. The scheduled days and hours can fluctuate depending on business needs. You may be required to work evenings and holidays.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual with superior customer service skills, strong attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will be welcoming and mindful with a "Go-Giver" attitude. Must have flexibility & availability to work a combination of daytime, evening, weekends and holidays. This is a part-time position offering competitive pay in a fun work environment.

· Welcomes customers by friendly greeting and acknowledging them.

· Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.

· Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions.

· Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, mochaccino, caffe latte, and cappuccino.

· Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.

· Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.

· Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Other duties may be assigned
