Reports to: Event Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Hours: Part-Time

Job Summary:

Being an ambassador for our brand by playing a key role in contributing to the smooth operation of our banquet functions. Greeting guests and engaging in friendly conversation to cultivate a hospitable welcoming environment. Being attentive to the needs of the guests, fully meeting their expectations throughout their banquet experience by providing exceptional service with a pleasant demeanor. Continually attending to guests before and during to insure timely delivery of food and beverages throughout the event.

Job Description

Functions and Competencies:

· Welcoming guests as needed.

· Unpacking, setting up tables and chairs as needed

· Setting tables and rearranging to prepare the or banquet event.

· Excellent listening skills and detail oriented to meet guests’ requests.

· Knowledgeable of the menu for the event.

· Explain dishes to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or styles of food preparation.

· Serve guests with food and beverages in a prompt and efficient manner.

· Refilling guest water beverages

· Replenishes napkins, service plates, and utensils as needed.

· Maintains banquet ambiance with a positive enthusiastic attitude.

· Collaborating with the kitchen staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders.

· Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.

· Responds to additional guests needs and observing dining process.

· Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.

· Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.

· Delivering a memorable banquet experience by resolving all customer issues promptly

· Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the banquet area neat and pleasant

· Protect banquet guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

· Closing event tasks, bussing dishes, sweeping floors, packing, breaking down tables and chairs as needed

  • Patience and guest-oriented approach.

  • Additional requests as needed for the smooth operation of event.

Education and Training:

· High school diploma or equivalent

  • Banquet serving experience
  • Lift 25lbs

Salary:

$20.00 to 25.00 hourly

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
