Patient Representative I

  • Assist with checking in patients, registering, checking that authorization is in place, scheduling on site patients as needed, collecting payments, and communicating with clinical staff and patients to help maintain office flow and efficiency
  • Provide day to day support to the CIS Imaging site in the business office
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments for walk in patients
  • Schedules breast biopsies for patients that need follow up care
  • Responsible for obtaining diagnostic referrals from referring providers as needed
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming calls, data entry of patient information
  • Various duties as they arise
  • Hours of Operation Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. within an 8 hour shift, flexibility needed
Experience:
  • Medical office setting Minimum one year and Ability to read and interpret medical reports
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Basic knowledge of coding and charging
  • Computer savvy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Self-motivating
Requirements:
  • Ability to withstand long periods of walking and standing as well as heavy lifting as needed
  • Familiarity with mammography office setting, preferred
  • CPR Certified Preferred
