NOMS Bake Shop is a local cookie company that is family-owned and operated. We are seeking a Bakery Operations Manager to oversee production, manage our bakery staff, and coordinate with other departments to ensure productive operations.
Responsibilities:
- Enforces and adheres to company policies and procedures
- Manages bakery team, including hiring, terminations, evaluations, documented coaching, etc.
- Effectively communicates with other departments in the company
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays and changes in shift operations
- Facilitates maintenance and repairs to bakery equipment and machinery
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports
- Ability to learn company bakery software and machinery
- Determines labor needs to meet production goals
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Requirements:
- Must be able to access and navigate the production facility
- Must be able to work on feet for 10+ hours a day and lift 50 lbs
- Must have at least 2-3 years of baking and/or food industry experience
- Must have at least 1 year of management experience in a baking/food production facility
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong managerial/leadership skills and expertise
- Thorough understanding of operational policies and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Lunch is catered by the company every Thursday, and team building activities are very regular for us!
The operational shift hours are 7am-5pm Monday-Thursday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
To help protect our bakers' health, we require masks to be worn during shift hours. Hand-washing is part of our everyday routine normally, due to the nature of food-handling. We strive to keep all commonly-touched surfaces sanitized, such as door handles.
