Job Description

Baker needed with quick progression to management for a small, local cookie bakery in Barrio Logan, San Diego. Candidate will need to tally order sheets that come in each week, assess how many batches of each product we'll need to produce, create a batch production schedule and schedule other employees so that we fulfill orders in time for deliveries each week. Candidate will be responsible for weekly ingredient inventory maintenance and submitting orders so all ingredients arrive in time for baking days. Candidate will also be responsible for kitchen cleaning schedules.

- Roughly 20 hours a week on a completely flexible schedule - with a COMMITMENT to planning ahead and adjusting hours for successful order fulfillment every week. We are growing, and hours could increase as our bakery grows :)

  • Candidate must be attentive to detail, consistency, and be willing to learn our methods so our cookies turn out perfect every time.
  • Fast, focused worker that upholds the work ethic of the team.
  • Comfortable lifting at least 50 lb bags of flour.
  • Positive, hard working, and flexible attitude for a scrappy startup!
  • Great leadership skills.
  • Spanish speaking a plus +
  • $16/hour during training, with progression to $20/hour.
