Job description:We have a requirement for two experienced Azure Engineers to help our client’s personnel transition/migration from their own in-house cloud environment on to Azure.
Our client, a tier 1 mobile network operator, recently announced the decision to migrate its network functionality onto Azure. Our client’s personnel are highly technical and have experience working in a cloud environment, so the requirement for this role is to support the transition to Azure in two ways:
- Support the development of Azure knowledge in cloud-savvy technical personnel.
- Design, implement and demonstrate Proof of Concepts (PoC) exhibiting Azure capabilities and best practices.
With over 400 personnel needing to develop their Azure knowledge, this multi-year program will involve identifying the key areas where knowledge transfer is needed, developing training materials for various delivery methods, providing remote training, creating skill assessments, and any other initiatives that you feel will enable or improve the success of the program.

Duties:
- Develop a good working relationship with the client’s program lead and wider team.
- Form a good understanding of the client’s current cloud operations and requirements.
- Perform a gap analysis to identify key areas where knowledge transfer is needed.
- Collaborate with client’s program lead to developing an Azure knowledge development plan.
- Develop knowledge transfer materials.
- Deliver remote training sessions.
- Develop Azure skill assessments.
- Level 3 post-training support as needed (business hours only.)
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of all materials.
- Collaborate with client’s program lead to identifying Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives.
- Support the design and documentation of PoC purpose and requirements.
- PoC implementation and verification.
- Provide or support PoC demonstrations.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the program.
- Progress reporting.
Candidate Characteristics:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable talking in front of groups of highly technical personnel.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong technical skills.
Location:
While activities may be performed remotely, there may be times when personnel will be expected to be onsite at the client’s premises. To support remote work personnel will need to have access to a suitable working environment, free from interruptions, with robust internet connectivity.
Candidates should be based within commuting distance of one of the following locations:
- Redmond, WA
- Middletown, NJ
- Austin, TX
- Atlanta, GA
- Oakton, VA
Candidates will be expected to support teams working in different time zones throughout the USA.
Travel is not expected.
Job requirements:
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience covering all major Azure functionality.
- 2+ years creating technical documentation/ presentations.
- Detailed Azure knowledge including Fundamentals, Admin, DevOps, Security, and Developer.
- Hold at least one advanced cloud-based certification.
- Training material development.
Preferred Experience:
- Certified Trainer qualification.
- Azure certification.
- Delivery of virtual or in-person classroom training related to technology.
- Mobile network functionality.
- Pre-production/ Lab environment.
