What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, design, develop and improve fundamental server-side business functions utilizing Java, Spring, KDB, Solace, Tibco, and IBM MQ.
• Provide advanced software development support to management, P&L, risk, booking, book transfer, position adjustment, reconciliation, and account mapping business functions.
• Utilize Java technologies to design, develop, and improve fundamental technical features including messaging, release engineering, caching, failover, and alerting.
• Manage global releases using Service First and manage deployment using RPM package management system.
• Collaborate with Quantitative Analytics team and support developing harness in Bath framework.
• Provide technical support for DBCF and EQMF frameworks.
• Participate in technical preparations for global code releases, liaise with global development team, and escalate issues in timely manner.
• Ensure high code quality through unit and integration testing.
• Evaluate code performance and suggest and implement code improvements

What we’re looking for:

Minimum of Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related Information Technology focused field of study and at least three (3) years of experience as a Developer, Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in above referenced fields and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in above referenced occupations.

Must have at least one (1) year of experience with each of the following skills: Java technologies including Core, Spring, Apache Camel, Swing, and Multi-Threading to perform code development; Messaging technologies including Solace, IBM MQ, TIBCO, and Google Protobuff; Smart RPM to perform code deployment to Linux servers; GIT, Teamcity, and Jenkins to carry out repository management and perform continuous build and integration; Python to produce reports and automation tasks; Linux and Shell scripting to perform intraday operations; EQMF and DBCF Frameworks; KdB, K, and Q programming language for real-time data processing.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.
