Avionics Engineers And Analysts

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for experienced Avionics Engineers and Analysts to support PEO Aviation Headquarters, Project Management Offices, and supporting Engineering organizations. These positions are based in Huntsville, AL, and are contingent upon contract award.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or AA/AS in an Engineering/Scientific discipline.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Engineer or Analyst working with and supporting PEO Aviation aircraft systems or equivalent civil or military systems.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations for design and performance specifications, interface control documents, aircraft integration documents, and product drawings for electronics, avionics, and systems that enable safe operation in degraded visual environments.
• Experience developing, analyzing, reviewing, and validating recommended electronics, avionics, and systems that enable safe operation in degraded visual environments.
• Expertise in the areas of navigation and control research, development, and/or engineering activities for navigation systems including global positioning sensors (GPS), gyros, accelerometers, rate sensors, stabilized platforms, inertial measurement units (IMU), position navigation, altimeters, north seekers, and laying and alignment devices.
• Expertise in the areas of communication research, development, and/or engineering activities for communication systems including satellite and software communication systems
• Experience identifying existing, mature NAV/COMM/Surveillance capabilities ready for implementation and/or retrofit on aviation weapons systems.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DoD 5002 Acquisition Processes
• Experience with military and civil Airworthiness Processes
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Will have the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
