Bob Tyler Toyota, a fast-paced, state-of-the-art dealership located in beautiful Pensacola, Florida, is seeking 12 Automotive Techs. We are a high-volume Toyota dealership with new service bays now open to meet increased Toyota and Lexus service demands.

Responsibilities - Technician:

• Perform multi-point inspection and diagnose malfunction(s)
• Efficiently repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc., in accordance with dealership standards
• Explain mechanical diagnoses/required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Provide an estimate of the time needed for repairs
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions
• Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls and updates.
• Report any damaged or defective equipment to management.
• Report safety issues to management and ensure a clean working area.

Qualifications and Requirements - Technician:

• At least 3 years’ Auto Tech experience required
• Toyota experience is preferred, but we encourage Service Techs with experience in other brands like Nissan, Honda, Ford, Chevy, and more to apply.
• ASE certification is a Plus!
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Must have basic math skills and be able to calculate the next maintenance reminder.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Must possess skills in communication and time management.
• Must be able to operate and perform tasks with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced environment.
• Applicants must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
