Providence Autos a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram dealership and service facility outside of Quarryville PA is experiencing growth and as result we are hiring additional staff. We currently have an opening for a Automotive Parts Assistant .

Summary:

The Parts Assistant is responsible for handling the parts department shipping, receiving, stocking and distribution of automotive parts.

Job Duties Include:

  • Manages the daily inventory, receiving, stocking, shipping and distribution of inventory.
  • Tracks all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock.
  • Refers to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic) to identify the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.
  • Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Notifies the service advisor or the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
  • Delivers parts when needed.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge preferred
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of the English language, spelling, grammar, punctuation and numbering systems
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle and background check

Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30AM to 5:00PM with rotating Tuesdays till 8:00PM and Saturdays 7:30AM till 12:00PM

Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:15AM to 5:00PM. Upon completion of training - rotating every 3rd* Wednesday till 7:00PM and every 3*rd* Saturday 8:00AM till 12:00PM*
