Your role:
You will be responsible for selling Bio4C™ software used for process automation. You will have a strong understanding of process automation used in biopharma facilities, including MES, DCS, and bioprocess hardware systems automation platforms to be able to develop solutions leveraging Bio4C™ software platforms. You will act as the technical sales specialist for this new portfolio and work closely with regional commercial teams working with our customers to sell your portfolio.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Pursue and develop sales opportunities in partnership with commercial and marketing teams
- Identify new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts and leveraging networking opportunities (i.e. conferences, industry forums, etc
- Drive pre-sales activities including developing and planning solution presentations, demonstrating conceptual & proposed solutions, providing technical/product guidance in meetings, responding to RFI and RFQs
- Be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets in your territory
- Preparation of quotations and proposals, including SLSA negotiations
- Effectively utilize CRM and sales tools, to appropriately manage contacts, opportunities, leads, seeding, pipeline, and processes
- Develop and maintain detailed regional strategic plans to manage both short- and long-term revenue growth
- Support the broader sales force with tactical and strategic insights to identify and execute on new sales opportunities
- Builds and maintain trusted relationships with customers and internal partner
- Self-motivated and assertive; takes initiative and works independently
- Ability to work effectively and support customers in a virtual and digital environment
You will be expected to work collaboratively across the Commercial, Customer Success and Process Automation and Delivery teams to align priorities to execute on the Customer project plans and needs.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in chemical, biochemical, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years in sales and/or servicing the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Industry with strong knowledge of process automation and systems interconnectivity.
- Experience with key IT and automation solutions (i.e. MES, DCS) used in regulated environments, preferably biotechnology
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in consultative selling
- Experience using CRM platforms (SFDC, etc)
- Strong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and self-directed
- Experience working in a global matrix organization
- Experience with the GMP / pharma environment and have knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes
- Travel requirement: 50% within APAC region
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in a Life Science, Engineering or Business
- 10 years of experience in Biopharma is preferred
- In depth experience in digital transformation in biopharma, and experience with BPOG’s digital plant maturity model
- Experience in a sales or customer facing role for plant automation software for biopharma industry
