As a Claims Adjuster you will be part of a dedicated team providing service to our policyholders and claimants. You will be responsible for creating all new claims for the business and adhering to all state guidelines for claims handling. You will also respond to our customers' inquiries about the status of their claims and resolve small losses. Duties include determining coverage, confirming liability, assigning appraisals, negotiating and processing payments.

Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers
  • Process all aspects of auto damage claims for both insureds and claimants.
  • Determine coverage, confirm liability, assign appraisals
  • Handle non-complex auto damage claims
  • Determine/coordinate vehicle damage assessment
  • Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and other carriers
  • Accept and input first notices of loss from policyholders
  • Make coverage determination on all claims
  • Handle low-end residential property damage claims
  • Prepare estimates on smaller dwelling damage claims using computer-estimating software
  • Make determination on when to assign a claim to an independent adjuster
  • Review and analyze claim forms
  • Effectively manage caseload of pending claim files.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants/adverse carriers
Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service focus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Process oriented
  • Proficient business writing skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of claims quickly and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
  • Previous insurance experience a plus (customer service or claims)
  • College degree preferred
The shift available once training is complete is Monday through Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. or 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m. Paid training starts January 2022.
