The Autism Spectrum Disorders Specialist I role is responsible for working directly with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), their families/caregivers, and the educational and local agencies serving children and adults with autism related disabilities. This position supports or delivers consultation, training content and programs for professional development reflecting understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities. Also, providing direct consultative services to children and adults with ASD and their families.
Duties of the position include but are not limited to:
- Conducts phone/remote consultation, school consultation and in-home visits to clients of Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).
- Develops home programs with families of clients of CARD.
- Delivers prepared parent and professional seminars and educational programs, including evening and weekend dates, at least four times a month.
- Conducts initial phone consultations with new clients and make recommendations under direct supervision.
- Participates in public education and awareness activities, support technical assistance plans within schools and community groups, conduct intakes, resource and referral technical assistance, assist with screenings for children, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have a Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license (regular license). This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct university business.
