Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Operates Digital audio console, Video switching, PTZ camera control lighting console and equipment for live entertainment events (bands, entertainers, comedians, theatrical and promotional events.
2. Performs set up and installs equipment such as microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires, cables and audio mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences.
3. Cleans and sanitizes Audio Visual equipment and stores properly after use.
4. Performs Audio Visual duties at remote locations, when necessary.
5. Interpret artist rider and specifications to adequately prepare for live events. This includes but not limited to setting up live events per schematics including the construction of staging, set up, installation, back line, drum kits, amplifiers, monitors, percussions, keyboards, drum pads, microphones, etc.
6. Maintains inventory of Audio Visual equipment.
7. Collaborates with meeting or event director to establish cues and directions.
8. Diagnoses and corrects Audio Visual system problems, as needed.
9. Sends in Audio Visual equipment for repairs, as needed.
10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Live Rock and Roll Performance Audio, Lighting, Film, or Video is required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience including audio, video, computers, lighting and rigging for live Rock and Roll performance events required.
- Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct Hands on Live Tour experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
- Must be an A1 level Audio Engineer or higher for live Rock and Roll performance.
- Must have manual dexterity, technical acumen. An excellent ear and eye for sound and image quality is required.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with sound, lighting, and video systems, including Yamaha CL digital consoles, Dante, Q-sys, Shure wireless/RF, Intelligent Lighting and Show Control, GrandMA2 or 3, Crestron, ATEM and Blackmagic systems is required .
- Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
- Advanced knowledge of sound software including Smaart V8, Waves Central, Qlab, Resolume, Dante, Yamaha CL editor,Yamaha Stage mix, Soundcraft UI and logic pro.
- In depth knowledge of video software including BlackMagic Atem, Elgato Stream Deck, Qlab, Resolume, Qsys and Crestron.
- In depth knowledge of lighting software including Grand MA software suite, Grand MA2 on PC and Grand MA3 on PC.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Professional certification in Audio/ Visual and lighting technology is required.
- Certification in Dante, Q-sys, Crestron, Grand MA 2 or 3, Yamaha CL is required. AVIXA-CTS is preferred.
