Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the day to day operations providing for all programs within the athletic department. All operations and functions relating to the responsibilities of this position shall be in accordance with approved college policies/procedures and good safety practices.
List of Essential Activities1. Opens the Athletic Center for use keeping the fitness room up to date and facility set up as needed for events; reviews the schedule board and prepares areas within the Center
2. Works with coaches and staff for distribution and collection of team gear
3. Sets up and dismantles all equipment and furniture required for Center events including the gymnasium and athletic games.
4. Maintains all supplies, inventory and equipment for athletic teams ( using Microsoft office: excel)
5. Maintains all records for locker assignments preparing and changing all locker locks
6. Monitor all required maintenance schedules of athletic vehicles for safe operation and repair.
7. Oversees departmental buildings, facilities and equipment for cleanliness and proper use
8. Provides assistance to Facilities department as needed
9. Maintains the laundry area, including but not limited to inventory, cleanliness, service records and team gear. (as needed per season)
10. cleaning of washing machine filters ( twice a week) and dryer lint trap daily and the main trap monthly
10. Related projects and duties as assigned
Required Qualifications1. High school Diploma or equivalency
2. Minimum of one year of prior exposure to college Intramural Activities
3. One year’s experience with Microsoft Office
4. Certificate in First Aid/CPR (AED)
Preferred Qualifications1. Associate’s Degree or completion of two years of education towards a Bachelor’s Degree
2. One year or more of prior experience working in an athletic facility
