Job Description
General Duties
Our growing company is looking for a Assistant Controller/ Bookkeeper to work closely with our CFO to provide redundancy of abilities to the accounting department and plan for future growth.

Additionally, the Controller will
- Oversee the preparation of monthly Financial Reports for approximately 15 locations.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, budgets, treasury, AR/AP, and systems and ensure that all records are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Review the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets reporting, and journal entries and provide measures to continually improve the monthly close period.
- Oversee implementation of all accounting systems for new locations.
- Record purchases, expenses, and sales revenue.
- Compare invoices and payments.
- Record financial data into general ledgers.
- Monthly account reconciliations.
- Produce bars and graphs for financial presentations.
- Attend in person training when required.
- Assist the CFO or other corporate leaders with bookkeeping and financial related tasks. Will report directly to the CFO.
To be successful in this position you will have,
- 5-7 years of accounting and financial management experience in a high growth organization, with experience in a start-up or shared services/multi-entity reporting environment a plus.
- Experience in successfully working in a team of accounting professionals and implementing processes and procedures to improve operation efficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communications skills and adept at conveying financial information to non-financial leaders.
- Highly Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Proficient in Excel
- 2+ years Bookkeeping experience
- Strong computer skills
- Professional corporate communication style
